Maybe it is and maybe it is not. But the other day my WoW account expired again and believe it or not I do not care. After playing for the last three years off and on (mostly ON), I think its time either for a long break or time to find another game to do in my spare time. I have my 70 Pally on Kel’Thuzad, who was my first character in which I have had a great time with but at this point considering I am a lazy dude and don’t have amazing gear just great/good it only makes me wonder why do I play if I am not very serious about this game. My 63 Warlock sits in solitude on Bleeding Hollow by himself cause I hate leveling and even though now he is in the Outlands were I actually don’t mind it, I still don’t level him cause I guess at the end of the day I hate to level. And then not to mention all the 20-31s I have back on my original server Blackrock. Another crazy thing is when I first started I wanted to be Horde, but my friend who got me playing by dragging me away from two years of Guild Wars, was Alliance so I did not want to play by myself and joined the Alliance side with my dwarf. So I have numerous horde from level 6-28. Its also kinda funny how I hate to level but will level twenty-something levels before realizing that. Go figure, ha!
All in all if I do stay out for good this time there is always hope beyond the horizon. Age of Conan is coming and so is Warhammer Online. Or maybe I just go back to FPS, and RTS games. Who knows for sure. Buteither way WoW was yet another great game by Blizzard that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I just picked up The Thing (a classic horror film top 5 if you ask me), and the Prestige. Obviously i have seen the Thing that is just for kicks. The Prestige however I did not get chance to see so I am gonna watch it now and let you know how it was.
Also I noticed how calm and ‘boring” life is without WoW everyday now. What a croc. I should be getting this job at Quizno’s Subs this week so not to concerned about it. Need the money to pay rent foremost then more WoW time. Finding a job has been tough but going back to making sandwiches ain’t to bad I guess since I have done it before and it is easy for me. I worked at Subway for a little over a year while going to college at the Art Institute. So this job will just be easy cash whether I really like the job to much or not.
And I am trying to redesign a site for a friend, Chaosgaming.com. Stop by sometime another gaming blog like Dtoid or Joystiq. Has a few fresh features obviously, but pretty much just news.
Last but not least reinstalled Diablo 2 to kill the time between work and till I get my WoW account up to date. Good times. Secret Cow Level!
This time it is about WoW.
My freaking account runs out on me the day i was gonna hit 70. What more could you ask for when you wake up to login and it says account needs update?! Man this really chaps my caboose. Cause when you ain’t got no money to pay for it and no job at the moment, life seems like shit when you cannot even escape it to the magical land of WoW. Oh what am I to do?
Guess I can seriously look for a job now and not slack it. That seems best since I have nothing else to do, omfg, lol. I need to like visit one of those WoW AA meetings I think there is something seriously wrong when you choose WoW over food. But no matter I will beback on in a matter of days to continue my glorious ventures through the Outlands.
WoW has now decided to something they probably should have done awhile ago, add a Armoy of sorts for character profiles.
WoW Insider – “What’s the Armory, you wonder? Well, it’s a new part of the official Blizzard site (currently in beta testing) that offers access to character profiles (for characters above level 10), guild profiles, arena team profiles, and arena ladders via the web. The nice thing about Blizzard doing this is that it’s all integrated — no extra software to install, no profiles to keep up to date — Blizzard already has all of the information and has just given us a new way to access it. The only problem: the Armory website doesn’t seem to be online right now. No doubt the cause of millions of players simultaneously trying to hit the site and see how it works.”
No doubt that is cool. But this is old for those who know about the site Rupture. A WoW social site. It allows you to veiw your current armor, whats in all of your bags, bank, even show PvP stats, Arena stats, and also show what points you put into what talent tree.
I guess my biggest complaint is that it is still beta, has been for awhile so this will only hurt the invite only social site in the long run. Unless they spread word like wildfire then maybe people will go there to associate and see these stats about them as well as others.
I can only hope it does not for it was a great founding idea that can now only be ruined by Blizzards tardiness on this matter. If Blizzard had done this earlier maybe Rupture would be on par with in the B-class ranks of social networking.
Only time will tell what people are gonna do and make what the choice of the future.
I only use windows well cause i play games. But in actually I only really play WoW as of late. Why do I torture myself with the nonsense taht is Microsoft? So I have a plan, switch back to Ubuntu!
So far great as usual. Now only to get those damn apps running. WoW and GW are good to go so whats left to do? Nothing but enjoy my peacful enviorment in Linux Land. With a little bit of code searching and foolling around you can get just about anything running on Linux these days.
So now im a Linux nerd or whatever you call it people who use Linux and stick it to Bill. Ta-ta for now WoW is calling me.
It worked! Finally.
So by doing the process I am about to show you, you too can get your BC installtion working right. It takes a few easy steps, and you will soon be re-rolling to a Draeni Sahmmy near you!
How To Get R Done!
Try making a new folder on your desktop and open up Windows Explorer.
Go to the first game CD and copy every folder and files to the new folder.
Once that’s done, insert the second CD and copy the Installer Tome 2.mpq file there.
Copy the Installer Tome files from the other CDs to that new folder.
Once all of the CDs are copied, go to the new folder and run the Installer.
Simple and easy as eating pie. So if you are having problems to try this. Good luck and see you in Exodar!
Yes WoW: TBC (the Burning Crusade) is upon us. Well maybe you and a couple oter millio people, but not me!
I bought my copy today only to get home and the fourth disc act like a douche bag. I post on fourms and few other people had same problem, but of course no real fix. Just one dude got lucky with Blizzard Repair WoW feature. But nothing. So I am trying to leave the accout upgrade screen up and see if that works. Because after the first time I could not even get past disc two. So now I am up to three while writing this. Come on Blizz!!
There is one final solution if this does not work ( besides throwing your computer against the wall.) Copying all the files from DiscOne to a newly created folder called BC Install on to my desktop then, copy all of the Tome.mpq files from the other three disc to same folder. After that run installtion through copied files in folder.
Who Knows we shall see how it works. I want to level to 70 already!
